Keyboard and Piano Lessons in North Somerset

Internationally Recognised Course

Kwest students follow a step by step course designed to make playing all kinds of pianos and electronic keyboards enjoyable. The approach used allows for fast and motivating progress. Material is carefully chosen to appeal to most musical tastes and cover a wide variety of popular styles.

In addition to learning all the basics of good musicianship that include ear training, note reading, rhythm, technique and theory, students are also guided in the operation of the instrument so that every piece of music may be developed to its fullest potential.

Creativity, arranging, orchestration and improvisation are also encouraged and developed, and supplementary songs are often given to fit the individual needs of a student. The result is a student who is comfortable playing almost any style of popular music along with their own touch of creativity.

The course is can lead to graded exams in Electronic Keyboard, Classical Piano or Jazz piano. As well as teaching many skills that go beyond exam requirements.

Group Sessions

Most lessons at Kwest Studios are taught in groups, making them much more sociable than traditional piano lessons. I've found group tuition allows for a broader musical education as it provides opportunities to listen and perform to others, and participate in quizzes and games.

Vital musical skills such as ensemble playing and duet playing are developed from the early stages. Not all classes require group participation however, it is up to the individual.

Students are grouped according to age and ability, class sizes are small (4-6 students) and each student has individual use of piano or keyboard for the whole class time.

Private (i.e. 1-to-1) tuition is also available for more advanced students.

Latest Technology

The popular keyboard and piano course incorporates tuition in using the technical functions of modern electronic instruments. My music tuition is up to date, making it exciting for pupils to learn.

The exclusive student section of the website also ensures that students continue learning at home throughout the week.

Affordable Lessons

The group lesson format makes lesson fees around half the price of standard 'private piano lessons'. Click here for more information on fees.
